This menu controls all BACKUP400 facilities in option 1 to option 20.

All libraries on the AS/400 will be checked to ensure that you do not have
any library which is unknown to BACKUP400 and to execute a save library of
all new libraries until action have been taken.
If you have any entries in BACKUP400 unknown to AS/400 they will be deleted.

In the upper right corner you will find information about which release
and modification your current version of AWM-Data software. Please give
this information to us when you want our help.

An attention program is set on when you enter the system and it is set off
when you leave. This program allows you to execute the following commands

Every entry in this file will be used as input to the back-up job.

          Library
An entry must be made except for object types *FLR for folders
and execpt for entries with *SECURITY or *SPOOL or *CFG in the
          object field.
If entered then validation for object existence in QSYS. If lib-
rary name is blinking in the subfile then the library is unknown
to BACKUP400 and you need to take action.

          Object
Enter object name to save. If entered then validation for object
          existence in entered library.

          Type
Enter object type used for the SAVOBJ command. Valid entries are
*ALRTBL *CFGL *CHTFMT *CLD *CLS *CMD *CSPMAP *CSPTBL *DTAARA
*DTAQ *EDTD *FCT *FILE *FNTSRC *FLR *FORMDF *FTR *GSS *JOBD
*JOBQ *JOBSCD *JRN *JRNRCV *MENU *MSGF *MSGQ *OUTQ *OVL *PAGSEQ
*PDG *PGM *PNLGRP *QRYDFN *RCT *SBSD *SCHIDX *SPADCT *SSND *S36
*WSCST and blanks. If there is no entry the SAVOBJ command is not
          used.

          Acc
Save access path when saving files. Enter "Y" to save access paths
or enter "N" or " " NOT to save access paths when saving files.

          Chg
Enter "Y" to use the SAVCHGOBJ command. This is not allowed for object
type *FLR for folders. SAVCHGOBJ command saves objects which have been
changed since the last SAVLIB command has been executed on the object.
Enter "N" or " " NOT to use the SAVCHGOBJ command.

          Days
Enter number of days to go until the next back-up execution. If
entered or the routine is changed then the back-up routine will be
executed in the next back-up batch job run.

          Week
Enter "Y" to execute on one or more days every week. "N" or " "
means no execution on that special day. The first position in this
field represents Monday, the second position represents Tuesday
          and so on.

          Disk Lmt
Enter disk limit in percent to state that no back-up procedure is
to be executed if the system disk usage is higher than or equal
to this value. If equal to zero there will be no checking in the
          system status.

          Savefile
Enter savefile name. If the savefile does not exist when the
back-up routine is executed the savefile is created by the sys-
tem. Enter *MEDIA to let BACKUP400 perform the save operation
          directly to the external media.
          Library
Enter library name for savefile. If not entered the system uses
the default savefile library entered in option 20. If entered then
validation for object existence in QSYS.
Entry not allowed for Savefile *MEDIA.

          Options
          2 = Change back-up entry
4 = Delete back-up entry (You will have to confirm)
          8 = Display Object Archive

          CF-keys
          F3  = Exit program
F5 = Display total object size (This operation may take several
minutes). This option is not allowed for routines
concerning folders, security data and save changed
                objects.
          F10 = Add back-up routine
          F12 = One step backward
          F15 = More data
          F19 = Manage savefiles

          General
To add back-up routines to the system press F10 and then enter
options on the bottom line. The program stays in ADD mode until
F12 is pressed. To change back-up routines enter "2" in the
option field of the screen list and the routines will appear on
the bottom line in CHANGE mode. To delete a back-up routine enter
a "4" in the option field and confirm deletion. For routines with
object type *FLR for folder the SAVDLO command is used. If no
object name is entered and Chg. equals to "N" or " " the
SAVLIB command is used. If object name is entered and Type is
not equal to *FLR for folder and Chg. equals to "N" or " " the
SAVOBJ command is used. If object type is not equal to *FLR for
folder and Chg. equals to "Y" the SAVCHGOBJ command is
used. To save security data, e.g. user profiles and authorization
lists and authority holders and office distribution objects, enter
*SECURITY for objects and leave library and type and access
path and save changed objects to blanks.
To save spooled files you have to enter *SPOOL for objects and
leave library and type and access path and save changed objects
to blanks. BACKUP400 is then saving all spooled files in the
output queue BACKUP in the library BACKUP400 as text
members in the file QSPOOL in the library BACKUP400.
To save all configuration data you have to do exactly like when
saving security data with one modification. You will have to write
          *CFG instead of *SECURITY.

Entries in this option will not be used as input in the back-up job until
          option 3 has been run.

          Library
An entry must be made except for object types *FLR for folders.
If entered then validation for object existence in QSYS.

          Object
Enter object name to save. If entered then validation for object
          existence in entered library.

          Type
Enter object type used for the SAVOBJ command. Valid entries are
*ALRTBL *CFGL *CHTFMT *CLD *CLS *CMD *CSPMAP *CSPTBL *DTAARA
*DTAQ *EDTD *FCT *FILE *FNTSRC *FLR *FORMDF *FTR *GSS *JOBD

*PDG *PGM *PNLGRP *QRYDFN *RCT *SBSD *SCHIDX *SPADCT *SSND *S36
*WSCST and blanks. If there is no entry the SAVOBJ command is not
          used.

          Acc
Save access path when saving files. Enter "Y" to save access paths
or enter "N" or " " NOT to save access paths when saving files.

          Chg
Enter "Y" to use the SAVCHGOBJ command. This is not allowed for object
type *FLR for folders. SAVCHGOBJ command saves objects which have been
changed since the last SAVLIB command has been executed on the object.
Enter "N" og " " NOT to use the SAVCHGOBJ command.

          Options

minutes). This option is not allowed for routines
concerning folders, security data and save changed
                objects.
          F10 = Add back-up routine

Enter device name of external media. The entry is validated for object
existence. The system suggests the device name entered in option 20 as
default device name. The job is submitted to run in batch. As input the job
uses all the "Completed normally" save operation savefile listed in option
          5. As a savefile is saved to external media the savefile entry is deleted in

In this file you may put in entries with program libraries and program names
to be run before or after back-up procedures has been executed. It is pos-
sible to state a sequence number for each day and to put in which days the
program should run. Make sure that these programs cannot be in a status of
message waiting. If this happens it is possible that BACKUP400 will not do
the things you expect. It is not possible to request a program with para-
          meters.

          Library
An entry must be made. The library will be validated for object
          existence in QSYS.

          Program
Enter program name. The program will be validated for object
          existence in the library.

          When
Enter "B" to execute the program before normal back-up procedures
or enter "A" to execute the program after normal back-up procedures.
All entries with an "A" will be executed if you choose to do an
AS/400 IPL or a Power Down.

          Sequence
Enter the sequence number the program call should be executed
          on the chosen day.

          Week
Enter "Y" to execute on one or more days every week. "N" or " "
means no execution on that special day. The first position in this
field represents Monday, the second position represents Tuesday
          and so on.

          Options
          2 = Change program entry.

The OPR400 system is a very helpfull and a very user friendly modern kind of
a system operator. The purpose of OPR400 is to help you to take care of mes-
sages which appears often in a message queue. Some users have OPR400 to take
care of object distribution between two or more AS/400 machines. And of
course you have the UPS-module to take care of a power failure situation for
you. This requires a UPS hardware battery.

         Submit Monitor Job (STRMONITOR)
This command starts a monitor job as a batch job. The command is
requested from the OPR400 Main Menu option 1 with an F6 = Start
Monitor or from a command entry display.

         Monitor Name
Enter the name of the message queue you want to monitor. The
message queue must be present in the library list when you start a
monitor. When a monitor starts be aware of the fact that the
message queue you are monitoring is the first message queue found
in the job description library list by the name entered in the
MONITOR parameter. You cannot start monitoring a message queue
which is locked by another job.

         Submit to job queue
Enter the name of the job queue the monitor is submitted to. The
job queue must be present in the entered library when you start a
         monitor.

           OPR400JQ:
The jobq OPR400JQ is provided by AWM-Data. To activate this job
queue the subsystem OPR400SBS, also provided by AWM-Data, has to
be active. The job queue and the subsystem description are
placed in the library OPR400. For job queue OPR400JQ and library
OPR400 the subsystem OPR400SBS will start automatically.

         Job Description
Enter the name of the job description the monitor should use when
active or in job queue. The job description must be present in the
entered library when you start a monitor. When a monitor starts be
aware of the fact that the message queue you are monitoring is the
first message queue found in the job description library list by
the name entered in the MONITOR parameter.

         First user to notify
Enter the name of the first user to be notified when message occurs
in the message queue you are monitoring. The user profile will then
receive the message text as a message in the user profile message
queue if the message severity is greater than or equal to the first
         severity limit.

         First severity limit
Enter a severity between 00 and 99. The monitor then compares the
message in the monitored message queue with the first severity
limit before the message text is sent to the first user to be
notified. If you want all messages to be sent to the first user to
         notify you must enter 00.

         Second user to notify
Enter the name of the second user to be notified when message occurs
in the message queue you are monitoring. The user profile will then
receive the message text as a message in the user profile message
queue if the message severity is greater than or equal to the second
         severity limit.

         Second severity limit
Enter a severity between 00 and 99. The monitor then compares the
message in the monitored message queue with the first severity
limit before the message text is sent to the second user to be
notified. If you want all messages to be sent to the second user to
         notify you must enter 00.

         Third user to notify
Enter the name of the third user to be notified when message occurs
in the message queue you are monitoring. The user profile will then
receive the message text as a message in the user profile message
queue if the message severity is greater than or equal to the third
         severity limit.

         Third severity limit
Enter a severity between 00 and 99. The monitor then compares the
message in the monitored message queue with the third severity
limit before the message text is sent to the third user to be
notified. If you want all messages to be sent to the third user to
